Two little love birds.......

Sitting in a tree......
well lets not encourage k-i-s-s-i-n-g just yet.
Nat dog and Abbey have been inseparable since day one and I think it helps that our families are just as close but these two have such a bond that is incredibly precious and heartwarming. Just watching them play and laugh together brings such joy! Well here's an ode to them just a couple years among many more to come!

Sittin on the Dock of the Bay

The kids and I got to spend a much needed day with papa Glenn! Words cannot explain the joy that fills my heart when I see how much he loves his grandchildren and how much they adore him! Their faces light up at the mere name of grandpa Glenn and the smiles remain along with laughter and giddiness. It reminds me much of when I was Carissa's age. No matter how sad I was or if I needed someone to get me out of my shell his ability to make the surroundings a playground and himself just as a child filled with imagination brought a big smile on my face! And now he uses that same love and charm to enchant Carissa and Nathan.

Legacy of Treasures Passed

The day had come to spend a weekend without my beautiful family. I really can not remember the last day I spent a whole weekend just having to pack for myself, get myself ready, feed only myself, and take in the experience myself. Though I had to obviously start with making sure I had pictures in my camera of the most important people in my life and here are the precious faces that fill my life with complete joy!

Then it was off to join my great friend on our adventure! We had planned to start much earlier, but as soon as we got in the car both of us sighed a great sigh anxiously awaiting what the weekend had in store for us! I really can't imagine experiencing such a weekend with anyone else. Jen has truly become part of my family and with each experience we tackle together brings us so much closer and our friendships foundation becomes stronger than ever!

After waiting through traffic on the 91 and stopping at target and for lunch at chick fila we finally made it to Murrieta Hot Springs! And of course we began with a feast getting to enjoy every course chatting non stop with our companions. We all made it Audrey, Roxy, Tammy, Karen , Jen, and I . I can't explain in words how well we all enjoyed each others company and how encouraged I was by each and every one!

On Sat we got a few hours of free time so Karen so wonderfully took us to a beautiful vinard and we got to do a little wine tasting, I'm very particular with my wine I like it to taste like juice ;-) but it was neat to try new things but I hate to say I did waste a lot of wine the only glass I finished was the Moscat I think between us that was the fav. Then we were off to the Mall!

I really love window shopping but the invention was I think our favorite at the mall. A message chair we had to experience twice! hmmmmm along with the wonderful Hotsprings these would be great additions to the retreat ;-)

Our room #447 and no fights about where to sleep! Nice and cozy!

Now this was a Christian womens retreat and we did have a wonderful worship team along with a wonderfull speaker! "B" Mayhue had a wonderful testemony and spoke out of Romans 11:33-12:1 which everytime we read the words I couldn't help sing it -Oh the Depths of the riches the wisdom of God How unsearchable are His ways. How profound are His judgements so high above our thoughts and His pathways no man can trace, For from Him and to Him ( I mean through Him....hehe) and to Him are all things to Him be glory for ever more to Him be glory forever Amen Amen Amen! We were reminded that we do not live to gain glory for ourselves but we live for His glory. And where that glory comes from is from Him for God is glory! In everything we do we need to remember to put our own desires and wants aside to serve Him who knows us best and we will not be disappointed. Along with so many amazing verses to remember
John 14:6
Romans 5:5
Phil 2: 3-4
1 John 5:13-15
Heb 12:1
and sooooo mcuh more!
This was my main reason for this trip because no matter how much sleep, no matter how much time away, no matter how long I soak in the Hot tubs peace and refreshment doesn't come from things that are temporary but from a Faithful God who provides living water to fill us with His Holy spirit that produces love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness, and self-control. So today in the midst of life I am still filled with peace and refreshment because I can do all things through Him who loves me and guides me!

on our way home we couldn't forget to stop at Toms Farms and enjoy the yummy mexican food and bring home some candy!

I love these beautiful faces even when they are staring at the TV ;-)
And I was soooo delighted to be home!
